Ulash is Pearl Crop’s Founder & Chief Executive Officer. He is a third generation nut processor with substantial international experience, global customer connections, and speaks three languages.
With his background, experience, education, and international ties he began Turkhan Foods in 2007 as a family owned walnut and almond processing company. The company has grown significantly each year through organic and strategic vertical and horizontal acquisitions.
Ulash has a dual Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aeronautical and Mechanical) from UC Davis, CA. He is also a graduate of the California Agriculture Leadership Foundation. This has enlarged his extensive network of industry leaders in the states to compliment his international associations.
Gearry is Pearl Crop’s past CFO and current President. He has over forty years of professional business experience and broad knowledge including over twenty years in agribusiness. He has worked in large public and private companies with both domestic and international scope.
Gearry has extensive multi-functional experience and served in both CFO and Senior General Management positions within agricultural companies and across multiple industries. This includes driving strategic and tactical goals and managing rapid growth both organically and acquisitions.
Gearry has and Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University where he graduated with honors, a Master’s degree (MBA) from Southern Methodist University and holds CPA, and CGMA certifications. He is also a member of the AICPA.
Scott is Pearl Crop’s Vice President. He originally joined Pearl Crop as part of the Grower Relations team and is now tasked with leading efforts across multiple functions and departments.
Scott has 18 years of corporate finance experience and served Controller and then Director of Finance for several multi-billion dollar businesses inside of Hewlett-Packard. At HP, he held executive leadership positions in both consumer and commercial business units and lead cross-functional global initiatives.
In additional to his corporate experience, Scott is also a second generation almond grower. He grew up working on an almond orchard and almond hulling operation before leaving for college and a professional career. He returned to Manteca to manage his family’s farming business before joining Pearl Crop.
Scott is an honor graduate of Fresno State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and Accounting.
